2011-2012 National Youth Advisory Board meets in Columbia, SC

The 12 newly selected NYAB members traveled from across the country for their first meeting in Columbia, SC on September 2-5. Youth met together to share their own experience with Souper Bowl of Caring as well as learn more about this national, grassroots organization and how to mobilize others to get involved.

The youth participated in public speaking training and developed their own plans to spread the word about Souper Bowl of Caring. They also served breakfast to the homeless at a local church and learned more about hunger in America. They ended the weekend with their own personal presentations about Souper Bowl of Caring. They spoke about why they are motivated to be involved and how they hope to mobilize others in their communities.

These 12 young people represent the thousands of youth across the country who give of their time and energy on Super Bowl weekend to help those in need in their communities.
