SCBT and Souper Bowl of Caring again teamed up to fight hunger. For the past six years, SCBT has joined with Souper Bowl of Caring to raise money for people in need in communities served by the bank. Every SCBT branch has a soup pot at the teller window to collect for a non-profit they have chosen to support; some branches also have silent auctions, and others serve soup to their customers. The banks host a variety of special events, all for the purpose of raising awareness on the issues of hunger in the community and providing help to people in need. Since 2005, the SCBT family has raised $166,000 and 100% of these resources have stayed in local communities! In addition, SCBT contributed $20,000 to Souper Bowl of Caring to help with administrative costs. Souper Bowl of Caring is grateful for the support and leadership of SCBT.
