Salkehatchie Founder is Guest Speaker at Service Blitz

John Wesley Culp will be the guest speaker at the Columbia Service Blitz on Saturday, February 4, 2012. Culp is the founder of the Salkehatchie Summer Service, a youth missions program for high school and college aged youth. The program consists of a number of work camps for SC United Methodist Youth. During the camps, youth work to physically improve the homes of needy families in SC and form lasting friendships with each other.

Aflac Group Launches 2012 Tackle Hunger Food Drive

Aflac Insurance Group is doing its part to tackle hunger in the Midlands. As part of the 2012 Souper Bowl of Caring, the insurance company is hosting a local food drive through Feb. 3, 2012, to benefit Harvest Hope Food Bank.

Join us of the 6th Annual Columbia Service Blitz

The Columbia area will kick off its Souper Bowl weekend activiities with the 6th Annual Souper Bowl of Caring Service Blitz on Saturday, February 4th. Hundreds of young volunteers from across the midlands area will gather to celebrate the importance of serving our neighbors in need. We will end our time together with a high-energy send off at 9:30 am so youth can report to their pre-selected projects at 10 am.
