When young people volunteer hands-on at their chosen charity it gives them exposure to poverty, hunger and homelessness and helps them connect their collection with the individuals who benefit.
That's why we designate the Saturday before the Big Game as Service Blitz Saturday, asking youth to spend a few hours volunteering with a local charity.
In our Souper Cities, Service Blitz is a larger, more organized event that brings together youth and charities from across the city for a dedicated day of community service.
Our National Youth Advisory Board is a panel of 12 high school students from across the nation chosen to act as youth spokespeople and ambassadors for Souper Bowl of Caring. Learn more about these outstanding young people and how they help us tackle hunger each year.
Extend your collection to allow for online food donations for your charity.
