National Schools of Caring

How It Works

  1. Register

Participating in the Souper Bowl of Caring is simple because all the materials you need are provided. All you have to do is register at souperbowl.org! Once your school is registered you will receive a free resource kit that includes everything you need to plan and promote your event—an owner’s manual with step-by-step instructions and ideas, posters, an educational DVD and more!

  2. Collect

From January 16th - February 6th, 2011 , organize a collection and encourage students to bring in canned goods, cash or other items for the charity your group has selected. Also try to organize a service project and educational activities. Classroom materials such as hunger facts, quizzes and curriculum are available for download in our Resource Center

  3. Report

It is amazing to witness the cumulative effort of thousands of groups across the country working together to fight hunger and poverty. Your collection, whether large or small, is important, so when you finish your event, come back to souperbowl.org and report your amount. Participation makes you part of a national movement, and we want you to be counted!

  4. Donate

After you have reported your total to Souper Bowl of Caring, you are ready to donate your collection to the charity of your choice. 100% of what your school has collected should be given to the charity you have selected. No money should be sent to the Souper Bowl of Caring. This will allow you to make a significant and direct impact in your own community!
